Job Description:

As a Senior / Lead Hardware Design Engineer, you will own hardware designs end to end, from requirements and architecture through schematic design, PCB layout, bring-up, and production transition. You will be the technical authority in design reviews, set engineering standards, and mentor junior engineers. A suitable candidate pays great attention to detail, does not believe in leaving mistakes in the design to be fixed later, and can defend every decision from first principles. A deep, demonstrable command of electronics fundamentals is essential.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Own hardware designs end to end, from schematic capture and PCB layout through prototyping, bring-up, verification, and design transfer to production
  • Define hardware architecture for new products, including analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power designs
  • Advanced Circuit design and simulation (PSpice, LTSpice, Altium), including worst-case, tolerance, and thermal analysis
  • Multilayer, high-speed, mixed-signal PCB design with signal and power integrity considerations
  • Lead design reviews and act as technical authority on schematics, layouts, and component choices
  • In-depth datasheet and application note analysis; component selection driven by design requirements, cost, and lifecycle
  • Drive DFM, DFT, and DFR; forecast points of failure and introduce preventive measures
  • Own EMI, EMC, and ESD compliance and certification strategy
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and grow the team’s technical capability
  • Coordinate with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams; manage external vendors and fabrication partners
  • Troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis on prototypes and field returns
  • Communicate directly with international customers on technical matters (fluent English required)
Qualification:
Education:
  • Minimum Bachelor of Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering or equivalent. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience:
  • 3+ years of hands-on hardware design for a senior role, or 8+ years with demonstrated technical leadership for a lead role
  • Exposure to the full product lifecycle from concept to production is a strong plus
Must-have Skills:
  • A deep grasp of circuit design and analysis (this is a must; you should be able to defend a solid understanding of electronics fundamentals from first principles)
  • Strong experience in multilayer mixed-signal PCB design, analog and digital circuit design, and power electronics
  • Proven ability to lead designs independently and own technical decisions without constant supervision
  • Solid hands-on experience with EMI, EMC, and ESD compliance
